Marrakesh to Agdez
You'll start your day bright and early at 8 AM, departing from your hotel or riad in Marrakesh to cross the High Atlas Mountains. After navigating the Tichka pass, you'll veer off the main road to visit the Telouet Kasbah. This once belonged to the Glaoui family, known as the Lords of the Atlas. Now, it stands in ruins after the last Pasha fled when the French left.
Next, you'll head to Ait Ben Haddou for lunch via a newly paved road. This famous Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will be your stop after a delicious meal. After exploring, you’ll journey south to Agdez, where the Dra’a Valley begins. Your day wraps up with an overnight stay in a charming kasbah.

Agdez to Erg Chigaga Dunes
After breakfast, you'll have time to explore the rest of the Kasbah. Then, we'll take the ancient caravan road nestled between the river and the mountains. As we travel, you'll see many villages and gardens, giving you a glimpse of life along the oases.
We'll drive to M’hamid, the gateway to the desert, and stop at Erg Lihoudi for lunch. Here, you can enjoy a two-hour camel ride.
Later, we'll continue to the impressive Erg Chagaga dunes, reaching heights of 300m, with 60km of off-road driving. Along the way, you'll experience various desert landscapes—‘erg’, ‘reg’, ‘hammada’, and oases. These remote dunes are a world away from civilization, offering an immense, silent expanse of sand.
You'll end the day with dinner and an overnight stay in a bivouac of nomad tents.

After breakfast, we'll journey through 90km of desert, passing diverse landscapes like Lake Iriqui, mountains, and fossil sites. We'll stop for lunch in Foum Zguid, the first village after the desert, where you can also freshen up with a shower.
From Foum Zguid, we'll drive back to Marrakesh on paved roads, passing through Taznakht, a village renowned for its Berber carpets and rugs. Then, we'll cross the High Atlas Mountains again, arriving in Marrakesh by late afternoon.
