Terms and Conditions

PRIVATE DESERT TOURS, Terms and Conditions

Upon booking a tour with PRIVATE DESERT TOURS, (referred henceforth as “we” or “us”), you agree that you accept these conditions on behalf of yourself and all other persons using our services pursuant to the booking made by you.

Booking Procedures & Payments:
A deposit of 30% (of total tour price) is payable at the time of booking. If booking within 2 weeks of your scheduled departure, the full amount is due at the time of booking.

The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to first day of tour.

Upon agreement to the quoted itinerary and price, we will provide you with a detailed itinerary and invoice with payment details. Your booking will be confirmed when we receive a 30% deposit toward your invoice.

We accept payments by PayPal and by credit card via Pay-Pal. There is a 4% additional fee for credit card purchases. We also accept payment via Transfer Bank.

Changes to your Booking:
We will make all possible efforts to make amendments to your booking with no additional charges. However, last minute schedule changes may not be feasible. If you need to make changes, please contact us as soon as possible and confirm your request in writing. We will make every attempt to accommodate with no additional charges, but cannot guarantee. If it is not possible to alter your booking, you may proceed with your itinerary as originally planned, or cancel and pay the cancellation charges stated below.

Cancellation Policy:
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel your arrangements. The cancellation charges will be calculated based on the number of days that you submit your written cancellation notice prior to the scheduled first day of travel.


45 or more before tour start date: 50% of deposit is refundable

Less than 45 days notice: No refund of deposit

Balance of Tour:

11 – 29 days before tour start: 25% of tour balance is refundable

10 or less days notice before tour start: No refund

Unforeseen Circumstances:
It is unlikely that this will occur, however; in the event that unforeseen circumstances require us to cancel your tour, we will refund any sum paid by you to us, including the deposit. However, we are not liable to pay any other compensations to you. Examples of unforeseen circumstances include, but are not limited to: natural or nuclear disaster, war or threat of war, terrorist, fire, adverse weather conditions, and others.

In addition:

We reserve the right to alter the route if safety considerations make it necessary. An example that would warrant a route change is road closure due to snow in the mountains.

We reserve the right to offer substitute accommodations should health and / or safety conditions make it necessary.

Special Requests:
Any special requirements that are important to your booking (dietary, medical, wheelchair assistance, or others) must be provided to us in writing, prior to confirming your booking. We will pass all information along to our suppliers to ensure a safe and enjoyable vacation for you. If we find that there are special requests that we are unable to meet, we will advise you in writing prior to the confirmation of your booking. In addition, please let us know of any preferences that you may have prior to booking such as hotel locations, bed configurations, and others. We will attempt to accommodate all of your requests. However, no compensation will be paid if such requests are not fulfilled.
